Frequently Asked Questions About RIB Club
-
Simulated Ownership™ is our AI-driven system that manages the availability of RIBs to mimic the experience one would have in a shared boat situation with a fixed number of fair and rational other part owners. Members can build their preferred usage profiles, and the system optimises availability for that unique profile. The system is designed to leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to balance ad hoc availability with days planned out in the future.

RIB Club is uniquely positioned to understand the challenges of boat ownership. As a result, we are familiar with the frustrations and inconveniences of mechanical failure. Enhanced Ownership™️ has been designed to give owners access to, and enjoyment of, the social aspects of the club, but also to create an opportunity to use other high-end RIBs in different marinas and locations.

In simple terms, once a membership application is approved, the member can select the tier of membership that they would like. The three tiers—Blue, Gold, and Black—offer different levels of access to events and also allow members to build increasingly bespoke boating packages. The main variables in a boating package are the size of the boats, the types of boats, and the amount of availability the member would like.
-
The RIB Club Hub is a web application that is the operating system for the club. Members use it to view availability, manage their membership options, register for events, shape their preferred boat availability profiles, put holds on boats, report problems, and communicate with the team and each other.

Any of the 9m boats can be operated with a Powerboat 2 (PB2) Licence or equivalent. For larger boats, we review existing licencing for suitability. Our team is trained to help you get the right level of licence and operational confidence.
