Yes, which we facilitate if necessary.
Does someone drive the boat for us or can we drive it ourselves?
Both – Yes, you’d use a license called a Power Boat level 2 (PB2). We have very close relationships with sea schools on the island that help facilitate obtaining this. It’s a 2-day course and it’s fun and practical with minimal theory and is designed to get you comfortable, safe and out on the water in 2 days. We do recommend the whole family take the course – it will bring you all together. It will definitely help you make the most out of the membership and children can do the course from 12 years onward. Within families, we ask that family members aged 25 and over have a membership of their own. As long as you have your PB2, children over 16 years can drive the boats themselves. For the days when you prefer to just relax a skipper can be provided.

We have a dedicated team and for each membership there is a recovery service. 90% of the time we will be with you within 20 minutes to put you in another boat or ashore in a taxi leaving the problem for us to fix.
