Both – Yes, you’d use a license called a Power Boat level 2 (PB2). We have very close relationships with sea schools on the island that help facilitate obtaining this. It’s a 2-day course and it’s fun and practical with minimal theory and is designed to get you comfortable, safe and out on the water in 2 days. As a member we provide the boat for the course as well. We do recommend the whole family take the course – it will bring you all together. It will definitely help you make the most out of the membership and children can do the course from 12 years onward. Within families, we ask that family members aged 25 and over have a membership of their own. As long as you have your PB2, children over 16 years can drive the boats themselves. For the days when you prefer to just relax a skipper can be provided.
